We offer trauma-informed care, which means we prioritize safety, trust, agency, and empowerment in every session. We use evidenced based interventions that take into account your unique lived experiences. Our approach is grounded in compassion and respect for your pace, your boundaries, and your story. Trauma-Informed Counseling

Trauma is not always an event or experience but how we perceive and integrate messages from our lives into our minds and bodies. Trauma is abuse and violence, but trauma is also generational trauma, loss, parentification, societal marganalization, spiritual abuse, and chronic unpredictability. Trauma is how these messages come to impact our view of ourselves, others, and our world. Connected Wellness Group therapists are trauma informed thorough a variety of models:

  • EMDR

  • Trauma-informed CBT

  • Internal Family Systems or Ego State conceptualization/parts work

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

  • Attachment theory

  • Somatic processing

Additional Services

At Connected Wellness Group, we believe healing happens when we engage our whole self, taking care of our bodies, spirits, and our minds. We also believe wellbeing and health happen in the context of community and connection. Therefore, we offer supplemental modalities to help clients learn how to regulate their nervous systems, develop healthy coping techniques, engage with individuals on similar journeys, and find safety in connection to their own self and others.
