Trainings and Certifications:

Christina Arbogast, LCSW

Christina Arbogast (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART) for substance use. Christina earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from SUNY Oswego and her Master’s degree in Social Work through the collaborative program at SUNY Brockport and Nazareth University.

Christina has worked across outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings, supporting individuals with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and life and career stressors. She has extensive experience working with individuals with trauma and those diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and holds a particular interest in DBT-based treatment. Christina utilizes DBT principles throughout her practice to create a supportive, encouraging, and nonjudgmental environment to help clients build skills to regulate emotions, improve relationships, and create meaningful change while fostering self-acceptance.

Christina is also deeply passionate about working with the military community, including active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. She supports clients navigating trauma, identity shifts, and the unique challenges associated with military life and transitions. Christina believes therapy is a space where clients should feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. She values authenticity and transparency in the therapeutic relationship and works to create an environment where clients feel supported while also being gently challenged to grow.
