Shaun Lamm (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego.

Shaun is an EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) trained clinician who specializes in treating individuals experiencing symptoms of substance use, complex and acute trauma, and attachment related concerns. Alongside EMDR, Shaun incorporates Psychodynamic theories, Internal Family Systems, and somatic therapy to help guide patients towards healing. Throughout her clinical experiences in both in-patient and outpatient treatment settings, Shaun has utilized this combination of approaches to also help individuals recover from symptoms of anxiety and depression. Shaun has additional training in ERP for the treatment of OCD and works with clients navigating the discomfort of anxiety and associated symptoms of OCD.

Shaun has extensive experience working with autistic individuals and individuals exploring an autism diagnosis later in life. Shaun takes a neurodivergent affirming approach to treatment, incorporating special interests, sensory supports, and considering each person’s unique needs.

Shaun believes therapy is a powerful experience where individuals are empowered, challenged, cared for, and accepted. She takes honor in the opportunity to create a safe space where individuals can bravely begin creating positive and meaningful changes in their lives. Shaun believes therapy should be an enjoyable yet challenging experience, so she is not afraid to sprinkle humor into sessions.
